Monarch Butterfly Small Hindwing Pendant

This small butterfly necklace is made with the recycled hindwing of a Monarch butterfly that has been found naturally expired. It has been cut to be smaller than it's natural form to approximately 1.75"x1", perfect for a child, youth or petite neckline. I soldered the wing smooth and added droplets of solder around the wing and put an oxidized gunmetal like patina. Both sides can be worn to change the look so it is like having two pendants for the price of one.  Comes on 18" black cotton necklace

 ALL Butterfly and Moth Specimens are purchased through a licensed supplier through Environment Canada. The source of these specimens is attained from global butterfly farms. The winged butterflies & moths fly in freedom until naturally expired where they are collected by workers and packaged for shipping. These farms provide employment, education and re-population of the reared species back into their locales.

I use many recycled wings that collectors reject due to flaws or missing antennae and preserves them into beautiful wearable pieces of art that can be handed down for future generations to ENJOY
