Where I Get My Butterflies and Insects

Butterflies & Insects used in my pieces have been sustainably raised and bred on Insect Farms globally and play an important role in conservation programs.  Many government and conservation programs (WWF & Nature Conservancy) teach sustainable practices of raising insects for economic purposes for livelihood rather than jobs that destroy rainforests such as slash and burn agricultural farming and logging.   It is so important to support such conservation programs that teach these sustainable alternatives.

Some insects such as monarchs, dragonflies and cicadas are found by myself or friends naturally expired.   I then utilize the wings that are in good shape for preserving their beauty into these heirloom pieces that they can be shared for many years to come.
